About Good Choice Dog Training

Good Choice Dog Training works out of 18 Railroad Avenue in Albany and builds its whole pitch on one idea, which the site states plainly: we help dogs make good choices. The approach is described as reinforcement-based, scientifically proven and completely humane, and the site is explicit that the method is force-free.

Classes and private training

Two products are published: group classes with an online sign-up, and private training. The site frames the target problems in the owner's language rather than the trainer's, asking whether your dog struggles to listen, whether you worry about having them around other animals and people, and whether house-training is still a problem.

What clients single out

The reviews the business chooses to publish are consistent about one thing. One says there is no choke, prong or electronic collar training, which the reviewer notes is somehow difficult to find in the Capital District. Others describe a trainer who does not push extra lessons when they are not needed. That is a positioning statement as much as a testimonial, and it is the clearest force-free signal published by any Albany-city trainer in this directory.

Owner resources

Alongside the paid work, the site publishes free material: a checklist on how to choose a dog trainer, a video on three skills every dog needs, and a potty-training guide. The business also hosts another Capital Region trainer's puppy and adolescent classes in its space.
