Balanced training for difficult dogs

Green Mountain K9 is a balanced dog training business with locations in Newport and Swanzey. Its focus is difficult dogs, with the stated aim of real-world obedience, off-leash control and lasting behavior change. Owner and head trainer Chris specializes in turning difficult dogs into confident, obedient companions, and the business says it does not do cookie-cutter training.

Programs

All packages are in-facility private lessons. The 4 Week Foundations Program covers basic obedience, loose leash walking, sit, down and stay over four private lessons. The 8 Week Foundations + Off Leash Program adds furniture boundaries, quiet on cue, place, anxiety relief, vehicle and kennel conditioning, responsive recall, jumping control, crate training, doorway manners, food etiquette and impulse control. The 8 Week Behavioral Modification program is tailored to each dog to address aggression and reactivity.

Getting started

New clients begin by booking a K9 evaluation, and hours are by appointment only.
