About Happy Hound Happy Home Dog Training and Rehabilitation, LLC

What they offer

Happy Hound Happy Home Dog Training and Rehabilitation is Linda Cutrara's Salida-based training business, serving Salida, Poncha Springs, Buena Vista and the rest of Chaffee County. It focuses on changing behavior rather than teaching a list of commands, through a walk program for dogs that pull on leash, starter programs for puppies and older dogs covering potty and crate training, mouthing and jumping and basic commands, and a program for mild behavior issues and off-leash reliability, including reactivity toward dogs or people. Programs run as private sessions or, where needed, as a board and train at her home facility, which is licensed under the Pet Animal Care Facilities Act.

How she trains

The site describes balanced, relationship-based training with tools such as prong collars and E-Collar Technologies or Dogtra remote collars, and support for the life of the dog. It notes that the business is no longer accepting aggressive, high-fear or high-anxiety dogs.
