Happy Tails Training is a Grand Rapids dog training and dog care business built on positive reinforcement, used to build trust between owners and their dogs. The team works to help owners and dogs understand each other, recognizing that every dog and person has their own personality.

Courses and private lessons

Two 5 week courses are offered. Basic Obedience & Manners is a foundation class that helps dogs and owners communicate, build confidence and manage emotions in hard situations. Puppy Obedience is for pups up to 6 months of age with shots up to date, run in a smaller group so puppies can socialize appropriately while learning basic skills. Private Dog Lessons serve dogs that need a little extra or are still getting ready for a group, teaching the basic skills that prepare them for class; availability is limited, so call to inquire.

Dog care

For busy households, Happy Tails also offers dog walking and drop-in visits for owners who are out of town for the day.
