Owner and background

The about page names Bre Ponder as "Owner & Trainer" and says she "has been professionally training dogs since 2013." It traces the start of that work to the Belleville Area Humane Society: "Watching great dogs being returned for issues that she believed were quite easy to fix gave her the motivation to help them become more adoptable." The page says her experience has since grown "through working with other trainers locally and nationally" and that, "by learning a variety of new methods with the understanding that every dog learns differently, Bre has developed an effective and considerably positive style of training." It adds that she "began Helping Hounds in 2019 by working with local shelters and building skill sets in their volunteers and staff."

The team

The same page introduces a training manager, Ashley Holbrook, who the site says also greets clients and their dogs at drop-off each morning and came to the work through rescue and fostering; a trainer, Deja Harmon, described as having started with dogs as a kennel technician before moving into grooming and then caring for hospice and paralyzed dogs at a rescue ranch; and an office manager, Kate Ramseur, who the site says handles the day-to-day workings of the office. Testimonials and a contact page are published alongside.
