About Hunter Canine

What they offer

Hunter Canine runs a dog training facility in Cave Creek. Its best-known program is the three-week Training Retreat, a board and train stay built around each dog's personality and behavioral history. Group obedience classes range from puppy through advanced levels and teach owners to understand their dog's motivations as well as commands.

Other programs

A short rattlesnake avoidance session teaches dogs to avoid the scent and sound of a rattlesnake, with refresher sessions available. Dogs that have completed the Training Retreat can come back for Holiday Retreats, a boarding stay that also refreshes their obedience. The facility also offers swimming and diving, agility and lure coursing.

Before you book

The site invites owners to call and schedule a tour of the facility. Its services page lists prices for the retreat, the holiday stays and snake avoidance; group class prices vary by level, so ask which class fits your dog.
