About Partners Dog Training, Daycare and Resort

What they offer

This is the founding Cave Creek campus of Partners Dog Training, which opened on the property in 1997. Everything runs in one place: board and train camps, DaySchool, group classes, boarding, grooming and rattlesnake avoidance. Behavior Camp and Transform Camp are aimed at dogs that lunge on leash, growl at guests or get into fights.

Desert conditions

The campus trains in the open desert, where dogs practice recall around flushing quail, settling when horses pass on a trail and focus around coyotes and javelinas. The site says the founder still lives on the property, so an owner is on site overnight for boarding guests.

How they train

The trainers describe themselves as balanced and tool-agnostic, using anything from treats and markers to slip leads, prong collars and e-collars. New clients start with a PD360 assessment.
