About K-9 Obedience Training Club

What the club is

The K-9 Obedience Training Club of Menomonee Falls introduces itself as a club rather than a business: "K-9 Obedience Training Club of Menomonee Falls, WI, we are dedicated to helping you and your dog build a strong bond through effective training techniques. Join us to enhance your dog's behavior and strengthen your relationship." Its class menu spans Dance and Tricks, Flyball, Nosework, Obedience, Puppy, Rally and Agility, and a members-only section carries a constitution and bylaws, a membership directory and a newsletter called The Barker.

Puppy classes

Two puppy series are published with their own fees. AKC Star Puppy Classes run six weeks at $110 and take puppies "aged 8-16 weeks old at the start of class," with the site noting "All breeds, including mixes, are welcome! No membership required." The curriculum is listed as socialization and puppy play, "Basic commands of Sit, Down, Stand, Come, Stay," puppy manners and behavior, housetraining, bite inhibition, "Basic care and feeding," attention work and "Effective Leadership." K4 Advanced Puppy runs eight weeks at $125 for puppies aged four to six months, and the club describes it as "topic driven," relating "to developmental and behavioral issues that occur during the 4-6 month puppy phase," building on the basic puppy class with manners, puppy issues and relationship building.

Beginner obedience

The Beginners Program is the club's main adult course. It takes dogs six months or older, runs sixteen weeks at $240, and "is split into two 8-week sessions: Beginners 1 and Beginners 2," with Beginner 1 classes held on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. As with the puppy classes, all breeds including mixes are welcome and no membership is required.

How to register

Registration is deliberately in person. The site asks owners to "stop by the club on Thursday evenings (6-8:30pm) or Sunday mornings (9-11:30am), and please bring your dog's vaccination record," points to a membership desk "in the building just south of the clubhouse," and states that "in-person, pre-registration is required for all Puppy classes" and that "currently, we only accept checks or cash." A phone number is given for class-opening inquiries.

Events

The club also runs its own competitive calendar. Announcements on the home page list an AKC Agility trial on September 26 and 27, 2026 at Oshkosh Kennel Club, a Fetch Test on October 3, 2026, and an AKC FCAT trial running October 30 to November 1, 2026 at Homestead Hollow Park in Germantown, each with a premium posted on the events page.
