About K-9 Play Time

A Mundelein play-care facility that trains as it goes

K-9 Playtime, Inc at 403 Washington Blvd in Mundelein sums up its approach with the line "We take FUN seriously". Its stated mission is to provide a healthy, safe environment for a pet to express themselves, whether that is a young pup burning off energy, a senior needing extra care, or a dog who simply needs more socialization.

The facility

The site describes a 15,000 square foot fully climate-controlled building divided into separate supervised areas by energy level and temperament, all with access to a securely fenced potty area. Every pet is evaluated by trained staff for compatibility before being introduced to new playmates.

Training and who it suits

Good manners are reinforced and rewarded throughout the day, from waiting politely at the door to greeting new playmates, and the site states that only positive training methods are used in both daycare activities and training sessions. The navigation and service blocks list daycare, training, overnights, grooming and premium holistic food, with rates, hours and forms on their own pages. The site names who it thinks benefits from play care: young pups who need socialization, pets who need help with potty training, seniors who cannot hold it all day, pets with separation anxiety, high-energy dogs, pets needing behavior training, and any non-aggressive dog.
