K9 Ethix is a dog training business based in Durham, run by owner and instructor Haley White, CVT. Specializing in reactivity, it offers behavior modification board-and-train programs, in-home dog training and on-site private lessons, for dogs from new puppies to those with fear, reactivity or aggression.

Services

New clients can book a free 60-minute on-site evaluation to plan training. Virtual sessions via Zoom are 60min/$80. K9 Ethix also runs 3-5 day shadow programs for people curious about the business side of dog training, and profits from its merch store go toward board and train programs for shelter dogs.

The trainer

Haley is a Certified Veterinary Technician and professional dog trainer with 7 years experience in basic and advanced obedience, behavior modification and sport and working dogs. From 2020-2024 she ran board-and-train programs, group classes and private lessons at a high-volume training facility before founding K9 Ethix. Her approach balances structure, physical exercise and mental stimulation, and puts decision making ahead of obedience. She partners with Wallingford Animal Control to offer free board and train to shelter dogs.
