About K9 Kate Dog Training

What they offer

K9 Kate Dog Training is a nonprofit positive-reinforcement dog trainer in the Centennial and Aurora area. Its pricing page says all profits from private training, products and donations fund community outreach, and its stated goal is to keep dogs out of shelters by teaching owners.

Group classes

The Loving Leadership + Basic Obedience class is a small in-person group class in Aurora/Centennial, limited to six participants and their dogs, that runs three one-hour sessions on clear communication and basic cues. Observer spots without a dog are also offered. Check the classes page for the next session dates.

Private training

Private sessions of 45 to 60 minutes are held in the home or online after a consultation. They cover basic obedience (sit, down, recall, stay and leash skills) and behavior modification for reactivity toward dogs or people, resource guarding and leash reactivity. The training page also lists help for very fearful dogs, young dogs starting out, newly adopted rescue dogs and owners preparing to become a registered therapy animal team. The service area covers Centennial, Aurora, Southlands, Foxfield, Smoky Hill, North Parker and southeast Denver, with a travel fee outside it, and scholarships are available on request.
