About Franz Professional Dog Training

What they offer

Franz Professional Dog Training is run by Brad Franz, who offers custom one-on-one training sessions in the client's home so the whole family learns alongside the dog. Goals are set with each owner and can cover basic obedience, problem behaviors, diet, exercise and tracking.

The obedience course

The main program is an obedience course covering basic commands, boundaries within the home and basic behavior problems. It includes six lessons held weekly, over six weeks for dogs seven months or older or eight weeks for puppies 12 weeks or older, and each lesson usually lasts 45 minutes to an hour depending on the dog's attention span. Payment is split, with half due at the first lesson and the rest at the end of the third.

How the training works

The site says problems are solved where they occur: if a dog is a problem in the car, the work happens in the car, and public-place problems are worked on in public. It describes the approach as training the dog first and then training the owner. The site credits Brad with over 35 years of professional dog training experience and lists a Denver number and a Colorado Springs number.
