About Kings Valley Collies
Collie breeding and service dog training
Kings Valley Collies is a Collie breeding and training facility near Monmouth, on a 160-acre tree farm in the Coast Range foothills northwest of Corvallis. Founded in 1972 by the Rappaport family, it breeds Rough and Smooth Collies for the show ring, the farm, the home and service work. Leslie Rappaport is the owner.
Service dogs
Kings Valley Collies trains Collies for mobility and support, with a path that runs from foundation training to advanced training, and it also places service dogs for autism. Families can apply for a service dog or a puppy. Its Collies have also worked in agility, herding, carting, search and rescue, guide dog work and Alzheimer's aid.
Breeding record
The kennel says it has produced over 100 breed champions, earned five Collie Club of America Breeder of the Year awards (Smooths), and bred and trained the first dual-titled AKC Champion and Versatility Champion. It is an AKC Breeder of Merit.
