About Knallhart Kennels & Training Academy

Board and train academy in Iowa City

Knallhart Kennels & Training Academy is a boarding and training academy with an Iowa City location, run by owner and lead trainer Chelsey Montgomery-Gusta together with the Montgomery-Gusta family. Chelsey's experience in the dog industry dates back to 2013, and the academy describes 11+ years of dog training experience. It also runs a Newfoundland breeding program that competes in AKC events.

Method

The academy's programs are built on a balanced methodology: a blend of positive reinforcement, fair correction and clear communication. It stresses psychology-based owner education, starting from the belief that most dog issues are relationship issues.
