About LIBERTY CANINE – LLC
About
Liberty Canine is a training and boarding operation on Plantation Creek Road in Fortson, north of Columbus, that works with family pets and hunting dogs. Its own site states the priority plainly: "Our top priority is to provide quality training to pets, hunting dogs & their owners to help build better bonds & companionship between dogs & their handlers." The motto it trains under is "Freedom Through Obedience".
Training
The published programs run from a four-week Freedom Package board and train, through four-week and eight-week lesson blocks at a location of the owner's choosing, to longer Pointer and Versatile board-and-train packages for gun dogs with minimum-age requirements. A two-part Puppy Program covers young dogs, and a Traveler Package adds hands-on hunting trips for dogs that have already completed the obedience package. General boarding with supervised play time in a fenced area and a private kennel is offered alongside the training work.
How they work
The intake is capped on purpose. In their words, "we keep things small. We take in a limited number of dogs at a time" so that "there is no rushing to get things done or shortcuts to meet timelines". The site names two trainers on its own pages, Randall Lykens and Nick Adair, and offers a free consultation as the first step.
Where they work
The Fortson address serves the Columbus area, and the site says it is now accepting board and trains for both Georgia and Tennessee.
