Balanced training around Winter Garden

Living Proof K9 Training offers in-home and board-and-train dog training to Winter Garden and surrounding Central Florida communities. Trainer Naomi Pokima grew up in Central Florida, has worked hands-on with dogs since 2019, began by volunteering at Orange County Animal Services, has worked at daycare and off-leash training facilities, and holds a degree in Animal Health and Behavior.

The training system

Naomi calls her approach balanced dog training: food shows a dog the wanted behaviors first, and fair consequences such as leash corrections, verbal cues, displacement and body pressure reduce unwanted ones. Core skills are impulse control, settling, boundaries and manners inside and outside the home, and leash work. Exercise and daily walks are treated as part of training, and owners are coached on mindset, because "loving your dog means being their confident leader."

Programs and prices

Everything starts with a consultation. Private lessons are $150 per 1-hour lesson in your home or in public. Board & Train is $1000 per week for 3-4 weeks in Naomi's home, covering house manners, leash walking, sit and down stays, place, recall and problem behaviors, with go-home and transition lessons. Clients get lifetime support.
