About Love Them Train Them LLC

What they offer

Love Them Train Them runs group classes and private instruction. Its course list covers puppy and beginner obedience, impulse control, advanced obedience built around the AKC Canine Good Citizen exam, two therapy prep classes (the second made up of outings), K9 Nose Work, and tricks classes. The services page also describes a four-week puppy socialization course for puppies aged 7 to 12 weeks, covering novel sounds, sights and textures, body handling and meeting strangers and other pups.

Formats

The home page says classes are taught at locations in downtown Birmingham, Vestavia and Alabaster, and that private instruction is offered for reactive and anxious dogs. The advanced course includes a field-trip week in a public setting and the option of taking the Canine Good Citizen test with an AKC evaluator at the end.

Who trains here

The site says its instructors are led by Rebecca Mason, whom it describes as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, CPDT-KA; that is the site's own claim. It also mentions digital homework with step-by-step instructions and videos for students.

Good to know

Some classes fill up and keep a wait list, so check the class listings before planning around a start date.
