What they offer

Lucky K9s is a dog training facility in Acton run by its trainer, Evelyne, who trained her first dog at 12 and became a full-time dog trainer in 2008. It builds customized obedience programs for dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages.

Programs

The Board and Train Program lasts four weeks, with the dog living at the trainer's ranch for round-the-clock immersion in rules, structure and obedience. A one-time in-home potty training session of about two hours helps owners with new puppies. Training runs from basic obedience to advanced skills and reliable off-leash control, and the business takes on aggression and insecurity after a temperament and behavior evaluation.

Method

The trainer describes a balanced approach built on praise, structure and clear communication, and works daily with groups of dogs to reinforce balanced social behavior. Boarding is also offered, and consultations are free.
