About Make Your Dog Epic

Focus-based training in Layton

Make Your Dog Epic in Layton works from a location at 476 Heritage Park Blvd, Suite 200-G, by appointment only. Its motto is "Obedience, but NEVER at the expense of the dog's personality," and the team describes its approach as focus-based positive reinforcement built on ethical techniques, steering clear of "alpha" dominance tactics. Training is customized to each dog's needs.

Services

The Layton location offers one-on-one lessons, boarding school training, group classes, potty training and puppy training, and books trick demonstrations for events. The first lesson, which doubles as a consultation where trainers meet the dog and map out goals, costs $0.50.

How pricing works

Make Your Dog Epic describes results-based pricing that charges for success rather than for a number of sessions. Free group classes are included with every training package for continued learning and socialization, and the company advertises a price match guarantee, a money-back guarantee on training services and free lifetime phone and video support.

What to ask

Ask about package pricing after the first lesson and which trainer will work with your dog.
