About Misfit Mutt Solutions

What they offer

Misfit Mutt Solutions is a family dog training business located in Dayton that serves Lyon County, Carson City, Reno and beyond. Its mission is to give owners the tools to avoid and deal with unwanted behavior: hands-on training for the dog, plus an easy-to-follow structure for owners to keep up the obedience basics and prevent or remove problem behaviors. A free assessment and free pack walks are offered.

How they train

The method rests on two ideas: encourage what you want and discourage what you do not want. The site says it is important to be clear with a dog about both, so dogs are rewarded for desired behavior and corrected for unwanted behavior, and owners are taught how to use the training tools involved.
