About Modified K9
What they offer
Modified K9 trains dogs in Spokane Valley and the surrounding area through board and train programs, private lessons and group classes. Obedience work covers sit, stay, down, come, place, socialization, loose-leash walking, crate and potty training, household manners and impulse control, and behavior modification addresses aggression, reactivity, anxiety, fear, confidence building and off-leash walking.
Board and train
Programs start with an intake interview and a personalized plan, followed by structured daily training around dogs and people in real-life settings, with progress videos and photos sent through an app. Each ends with a two-to-three-hour train-the-owner session and free follow-up sessions. Options include a two-week puppy program for dogs under a year, a two-week program for older dogs with naughty behaviors such as jumping, barking and counter surfing, a three-week behavior modification program for reactivity, fear, anxiety and mild aggression, and an intensive program of four weeks or more for serious cases. A meet and greet may be required first.
Lessons and classes
Private lesson packages give hands-on coaching, and group classes, specialty courses and weekly pack walks build reliability around distractions and other dogs.
