About Mutt Motel Dog boarding and grooming

Mutt Motel is first a boarding and grooming business, but it publishes training as a priced service in its own right rather than as a throwaway mention.

The training on offer

Under "Play Time! Train Time!" the site publishes one-on-one playtime and training with the dogs in its care, with a 30-minute training session at $50 described as an "intense and fun training session done by our seasoned trainers." The site also carries copy on understanding "the emotional component involved with dog training in order to achieve true results with your dog."

The rest of the business

Boarding is the main product and its rates are published: a standard room at $35 per night for the first dog and $25 for each additional dog, a larger "Boarding Basic +" room with access to an outdoor kennel run at $45 and $35, and long-term boarding at the standard rate. Day care is $25 for a full day of five to ten hours and $20 for a half day. Full grooming services are advertised as newly available.

Worth knowing

Two published policies are worth reading before booking: dogs with behavioral issues may incur additional fees, and North Carolina regulations mean stays over 30 consecutive days add $10 per day for extra human interaction. Confirm weekend hours before you visit.
