About My Best Friend Dog Training (formerly Man’s Best Friend Dog Training)
Overview
My Best Friend Dog Training (formerly Man's Best Friend Dog Training) is led by Master Trainer Lee Hamilton and operates from a facility in Madison, Ohio. The business states it has trained dogs since 1989, citing 33 years and over 100,000 hours of experience across more than 6,000 dogs.
Services & Approach
The program spans basic to advanced obedience, on-leash and off-leash training, protection training, service and assistance dogs, and therapy dog training. Behavior modification work addresses common issues such as house breaking, jumping, biting, and chewing. Board-and-train programs, private lessons, trained dogs for sale, and online video courses round out the offerings. The training philosophy holds that obedience done properly and formally is the foundation for everything else, applied through a consistent, proven step-by-step process.
Background
Lee Hamilton is presented as a Master Trainer with decades of hands-on experience. Owners can train in person at the Madison facility or follow along through the available online courses.

When I followed up with Michelle to check on the status, she mentioned she would find a puppy for purchase by mid-June. At that point, I started to feel like things weren’t very organized, so I chose not to follow up again and decided to wait for them to reach out to me.
It’s now nearly the end of July, and I still haven’t received any call, text, or update regarding the dog or the training services I was supposed to receive.
I’m not leaving this review to say they don’t know what they’re doing, because after speaking with Michelle they seem knowledgeable. I’m writing this to let them know they need more organization, they missed out on a big ticket client from simply not communicating. If you’re looking for someone to train your dog they may be the one but the way they run the business is not professional and won’t make you feel good about doing an expensive service with them.
