Daycare and training in East Lyme

My Dog's Place is a daycare and training center with an East Lyme facility at 7 Capitol Dr and a second location in Stonington. It offers daycare, training classes and activities for dogs of all ages and levels, plus private in-home training and consultations for behavioral issues. It describes itself as a fully licensed and insured facility that teaches through all positive reinforcement methods, and it rules out choke, pinch and shock collars and physical corrections.

Team

Owner Marge Lineweber has owned and managed My Dog's Place since 2002. She is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer, an AKC approved Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and a Canine Water Sports judge. Instructor Kristie Foss teaches agility and has been teaching there since 2002, and instructor Kathy Howard holds the CPDT-KA.

Classes

The class lineup includes Puppy Primer, Companion Dog Fundamental, Essentials and Advance, Canine Good Citizen, Therapy Dog, Retrieving, Scent work, Thinking Dog, Basic Frisbee Skills and Canine Water Sports. Puppy playgroups run in one-hour sessions for puppies from 10 weeks to 6 months, and adult and puppy daycare are offered.
