About No Harm No Foul Dog Training
Everything below describes this business as it presented itself on its own site, nhnfdogtraining.com, in October 2024. That site no longer works, so none of it should be read as a statement about what is offered now – the trainer may have changed the program or stopped trading. The phone number here is the one the business published; anyone interested should call and ask what is currently available.
In October 2024 the site was a one-trainer, first-person operation on a Square-powered store, its banner reading "No force. No fear. Just science." The site's own testimonials name the trainer Tommie – "Tommie trained my extremely shy rescue poodle".
Method as it was described
The methods section was headed "Science Backed Methods", and the equipment position was stated without hedging: "I use humane, and reward based methods for ALL dogs. No matter their size, age, or breed." A short list then ruled out three tools by name – "No e collars", no prong collars and no choke chains.
Training philosophy as it was described
The in-person program was built around starting easy and adding difficulty later: "My training program is all about learning in low distraction settings to start, to allow a strong foundation to be built." The reasoning was put in the owner's own voice – "Have you ever tried to learn something new at a bar or a club on a Friday night? I didn’t think so!" – and summed up as "The true way to a successful relationship is moving at your learners pace, and providing them with clear and consistent information."
Credentials claimed at that date
The site claimed "7 years experience" and "Over 5 years as a District Mentor for Petco", plus "Successfully graduated Dog Training University in San Antonio, TX". It listed itself as a "Pet Professional Guild Member" and an "International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants Member", with "Continuing education through DogNostics Certified Professional Dog Trainer Program", and named an unpaid role: "Board member & canine behavior expert for Valentine’s Second Chance Animal Rescue". They are what the site claimed at the time.
How sessions were sold
Two delivery formats were offered, "Private In Person Sessions" and "Private Virtual Sessions". The remote option was aimed at distance and at dogs that cannot easily be met in person: "Virtual sessions options are great for pet guardians who don’t live within driving distance, and dogs that are fearful, or human aggressive." Pricing for it was by request – "Virtual sessions are slightly discounted – please email me directly for my virtual session pricing brochure."
Four bookable items were offered alongside the homepage: a potty-training session with a homework sheet and a follow-up window for questions, a facilitated meet-and-greet between two dogs for households introducing a new dog, a Sensitive Training Package aimed at anxious, stressed or mildly resource-guarding dogs and dogs that bark at other dogs on walks, and a Behavior Modification Package for reactive, fearful, shut-down and stressed dogs, ending in a follow-up consultation. Both packages were gated on a consultation deciding whether they fitted the dog. Ask about prices when you call.
Getting started, as of October 2024
Enquiries went through an email form rather than straight to booking: "The majority of situations will require a consultation prior to enrollment."
