About Divine Paws Training KC

Divine Paws Training KC is a one-person, private training business working in clients' homes across the Kansas City, MO area. The home page describes the offer as "1-2-1 private training for you and your pup to put a STOP to jumping, barking, leash pulling, potty training, and MORE!" and states the method as positive reinforcement throughout. Client testimonials on the site name the trainer as Camille; the pages themselves are written in the first person and do not print an owner name.

Background

The about page gives a career history: "After 15 years of working with kids and adults with developmental disabilities, I decided to go for my dream and became a graduate of Animal Behavior College in 2019." It also says that before becoming a professional dog trainer she "worked as an animal communicator and Animal Reiki Master", and that her training "goes beyond the surface to help you truly understand your pet’s needs and behaviors".

Programs and published prices

The services page lists four. A free phone consultation is not optional – it "is REQUIRED prior to any services provided by Divine Paws Training KC, LLC" – and is used to build the training plan. Puppy Chaos to Calm, for dogs five months and younger, covers potty training, leash skills, socialization and puppy biting over four weeks at $450. Communication and Connection is the obedience program for dogs six months and older, running foundation, intermediate and advanced levels, also four weeks at $450, with proof of rabies vaccination required. Walking Frustration to Fun is aimed at adolescent dogs that pull, spin or bark on the leash, and teaches games to build listening skills and leash manners. Virtual training over Zoom is offered as an alternative for dogs that are uneasy with visitors.

Practicalities

Sessions are at the client's location in the Kansas City, MO area, and the site asks for the free phone consultation first "to see if we are a good fit prior to commitment to training with me".
