About The Urban Dog Trainer

Programs

The Urban Dog Trainer is a Kansas City dog training business at 3005 Holmes Street. Its home page offers private one-on-one obedience training covering basic commands, leash training and door manners; group obedience classes that pair socialization with obedience skills; and an advanced off-leash program built around off-leash recall and e-collar training.

The trainer

The About page is written by Micki, who says she trained at Miles & Miles Dog Training and works with her own dog, Myles, as a demonstration partner in sessions. She credits Michael Ellis and Ivan Balabanov among the trainers who shaped her approach.

Approach and contact

She describes blending operant and classical conditioning in a balanced, reward-based system. Book through the site, call (816) 853-8091 or email theurbandogtrainer@gmail.com.
