About Northbound K9 LLC

In-home training around Bemidji

Northbound K9 is a professional dog training business serving Bemidji and surrounding areas with individualized training and in-home lessons. Lessons can be held at home, in the neighborhood or in other dog-friendly spaces, so owners practice real-life situations and distractions, with appointments on weekdays, weekends and evenings.

The trainer

Trainer Stevie Klaven found her passion for dog training in 2019 with her rescue dog Archie. She apprenticed under the head trainers of The Homeschooled Pooch and A New Day Dog Training in Duluth, graduated from The Michael Ellis School For Dog Trainers, and completed a canine conditioning course taught by Dr. Erica Boling of Northeast K9 Conditioning. She previously worked as a team lead and trainer at a dog daycare and boarding facility.

Training options

Work covers puppy development, obedience including advanced and off-leash training, and behavior problems from manners to more severe issues. Private Lessons teach owners with demonstration, practice and feedback. Solo Sessions let the trainer work 1:1 with the dog and send a summary afterward, for clients enrolled in or past Private Lessons. Every new client starts with an in-person consultation, and support continues between lessons by text, call or email.

Rates

A single lesson or session is $80, a package of 5 is $375 and a package of 10 is $720.
