About O’So Sharp LLC

A Sauk Valley trainer, and a kennel name for poodles

The site title reads "Sauk Valley Dog Trainer & Breeder| O'So Sharp Training," and the homepage opens in the owner's own voice: "Hi, I'm Vanessa Wahl (formally Sharp)!" The market served is stated twice — she describes herself as "focused in the Rock Falls, Sterling, and Dixon market (Sauk Valley)," and the Mission text says O'So Sharp "serves Sauk Valley area customers mainly within Dixon, Rock Falls, and Sterling." Contact is by email at ososharpvs@gmail.com.

Classes, limited private work, and AKC titles

In her own words: "I offer group training classes focused on general obedience and mild behavior modification as well as some limited private training." The qualifier "limited" is the site's own, and worth taking at face value before assuming private lessons are freely available. The Mission text lists "private dog training, AKC certifications such as Star Puppy and CGC, and other services," which lines up with the credential she claims for herself: "I am a certified CGC, AKC Trick Dog, and AKC Star Puppy trainer and evaluator as well as a therapy dog evaluator for Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs."

The breeding side is written in the past tense

The site is candid that the poodle program has wound down. O'So Sharp is described as "also a kennel name for Vanessa's standard poodle breeding program in which she raised puppies in 2020-2024 from health tested, titled, temperament-proven standard poodles," and the homepage introduces her as a "former standard poodle breeder." My Dogs and Previous Litters pages remain in the navigation. The page is a short single scroll: no class schedule, no prices, and no training method set out beyond the goal she states — "My goal is to be an advocate for dogs in the area and help owners communicate effectively with their furry friend."
