About Pawderosa Ranch

A San Antonio dog ranch with training

Pawderosa Ranch runs dog daycare, boarding, grooming and training out of three ranches: Downtown San Antonio on Mission Rd, near the Airport on Clydeville Rd, and in Schertz. San Antonio Current staff voted it Best Doggy Daycare, and it was named Schertz Small Business of the Year.

How training works

Owners can pick from three formats. The Frontier Platinum stay lasts 2 or 4 weeks and teaches basic obedience, recall, place, polite greetings, leash manners and door manners, with work on new obstacles. Day with the Trainer spreads 12 training days over 4 weeks and mixes obedience with enrichment, structured play, treadmill time, confidence building, kennel conditioning and trick training. Owners who want to handle their own dog can join the 6-week group course, which meets once a week at the Schertz ranch for puppies (3 to 6 months) and adult dogs.

Before booking

Dogs need to be at least 4 months old with adult vaccinations complete. Pricing comes from the reservation specialists at (210) 404-9941. The Frontier Club small-group daycare adds canine sports and enrichment.
