About Paws Laws
Who runs it
The about section is written in the first person and gives a first name only: "My name is Andria, I am an animal lover and have been since I was a child. I graduated from Carroll University in Waukesha with a Biology degree with an emphasis on Animal Behavior." It records that she "started dog training at the end of 2010 and spent time as a dog trainer and dog training mentor (I trained trainers) for a corporate store," and that "now three human children later, I have started my own business."
Credentials she claims
Three are listed together on the page: "I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer -Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), Certified Behavior Consultant Canine-Knowledge Assessed (CBCC-KA) and an American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen (CGC Evaluator." She adds that she takes "continuing education classes to stay up-to-date on scientific research and new training developments."
What you can book, and what it costs
This site publishes a full price list. A 30 minute consultation is $30 and "includes meeting the dog, discussing goals with parents and a training plan." Private Training is $125 for "60 minutes of personalized training using positive reinforcement." Two private packages are offered: five 60-minute sessions at $350 and three 60-minute sessions at $250, both described as covering "basic problem behaviors and positive reinforcement." Group Level 1 Training is listed at $180, with inquiries directed to a Camp Bow Wow Waukesha email address, and a Group Puppy Training Class is $180 for "60 minute sessions for 6 weeks," covering "basic problem behaviors."
How and where it is delivered
Two formats, stated plainly: "I offer private training at your home or location of mutual choice. I also offer group training classes at Camp Bow Wow in Waukesha." The scope is broad on age – "I teach new behaviors or freshening up on old ones. No dog is too old to learn a new trick, and I start training as young as eight weeks" – and the method is stated without hedging: "I use positive reinforcement training, primarily lure and reward."
Where she travels
The site publishes a city list rather than a radius: Big Bend, Brookfield, Butler, Delafield, Elm Grove, Genesee Depot, Hartland, Mukwonago, Muskego, Nashotah, New Berlin, Pewaukee, Sussex, Wales, Waukesha and West Allis, with the note that "additional cities available with additional mileage charge."
