About Pet Love NYC

Pet Love NYC is primarily a Manhattan dog walking company, listed on York Avenue on the Upper East Side, with published walk rates ($30 for thirty minutes, $40 for an hour, with group rates for dogs from the same household). It appears in this directory for one reason: it sells training as a bookable service rather than as a by-product of the walk.

The training on offer

Leash training workshops are published with a specific curriculum — stopping leash pulling, teaching a dog to heel calmly, to sit at intersections, and to keep focus on the handler around large distractions. The site calls leash pulling the number one challenge for urban dog owners, which is a fair reading of the market.

Where the boundary is

Beyond the leash workshops, what the company describes is care rather than behavior modification: personalized walks around Manhattan, help for dogs with separation anxiety or too much energy, and an acclimation plan built for a dog new to the city. An owner with an aggression or serious anxiety case should read that as care support, not treatment.

Practical detail

Walks are booked online with a free consultation first, insurance and check-in and check-out alerts are included, and the company runs a referral discount for neighbors.
