About Pine Ranch Dog Training & Boarding

What they offer

Pine Ranch Dog Training and Boarding runs training camps on a 13-acre property in Franktown with multiple training fields and private hiking trails. It serves Parker, Centennial, Castle Rock and nearby towns, and sets up video calls for clients out of state.

Camps and lessons

The camps are board and train programs in three types: basic, off-leash and behavior. They address everyday problems such as pulling, lunging, nuisance barking, poor recall, nipping and potty training, as well as aggression, obsessive behaviors and anxiety, and campers take field trips into public places to practice obedience with real distractions. The site says camp is its preferred way to start a dog, while coaching lessons are the way to start the owner. It also offers behavior consultations and boarding.

About the team

Owner and head trainer Des builds and tests working dogs, and the team competes in dog sports at the national level. The site describes a science-based approach that uses treats and toys as motivators and teaches owners to reward rather than bribe.
