About Pooch Professor inc. Bobby Gazura

Pooch Professor is Bobby Gazura's in-home training practice, based at 7 Villet Drive in East Setauket. The site bills him as 'Certified Master Dog Trainer' and states the tenure clearly: 'Bobby Gazura has been training dogs and dog owners throughout the Nassau & Suffolk County areas since 2002.'

The offer

The website is short, and it says the same four things on every page, which at least means there is no ambiguity about what you are buying. It is a seven-week course. It is private one-to-one training, delivered at your home. It covers basic and advanced obedience. And it is available throughout Nassau and Suffolk County. The scope is stated as 'training for dogs of all breeds and sizes'.

What is emphasized

The framing is about fitting the dog into family life rather than about competition or behavior rehabilitation: 'Training is key to successfully integrating your dog into your life and family.' The site directs visitors to its testimonials rather than making claims itself – 'Don't just take our word for it, click on the testimonials to the right for proven success stories.' It carries a 5.0 rating across 35 Google reviews, which for a solo in-home trainer working a fixed course is a substantial track record.

What to ask

Ask about the price, the schedule, and the tools and methods used beyond 'basic and advanced obedience'. If your dog's problem is a behavior problem rather than a manners problem, ask about it directly on the first call rather than assuming a seven-week obedience course covers it. Two numbers are published, 631-751-2260 and 516-312-6378, along with an email address.
