About Rebel Dog Academy

What they do

Rebel Dog Academy publishes three training products and a boarding service. The On Leash Only Board and Train is “an intensive two-week course designed to teach essential on-leash walking skills, basic commands, and effective behavioral modification,” aimed at dogs that are frequently on leash in a condo or apartment or during walks. The On and Off Leash Board and Train is a three-week course covering both, “equipping your dog with the skills to enjoy freedom in any environment,” aimed at active owners. In-Home Training is personalized sessions focused on basic obedience and behavior management at home, for house manners and indoor behavior.

Method

The academy was founded in 2022 and describes itself as “born out of a love for dogs and a passion for compassionate training,” with trainer Javier Cardona named on the site. The stated method is “We teach dogs to think and problem-solve, leading to sustainable improvements in behavior without harsh rules.”

Boarding

Paw Pads Boarding & Daycare is run as a boutique setup with a limited number of dogs at a time, free-roaming play rather than kennels by default, kennel options if preferred, any necessary medications given, and complimentary pick-up.
