Force-free training from Strafford

Red Pointy Dog Training is based in Strafford, New Hampshire, and uses positive, practical and force-free methods to strengthen communication between owners and their dogs. It serves Strafford, Northwood, Barnstead, Barrington, Nottingham, Lee, Madbury, Durham, Rochester, Manchester, Concord and other surrounding communities.

The team

Louise Belmont and Jake Belmont are the owners and certified trainers, joined by certified associate dog trainer Casey Morrison. Louise graduated from UNH in 2012 with a degree in Applied Animal Science, trained shelter dogs and taught classes at the New Hampshire SPCA, and later created a Behavior Rehabilitation Program at the Lakes Region Humane Society. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (Knowledge Assessed), a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and a Certified Nose Work Instructor. Jake started working with dogs professionally at 19 and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. Both are professional members of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.

Services

Private sessions take place in the home, outside or virtually. The behavior and basic training consultation reviews the dog's environment and needs and ends with a plan for the next two to three weeks, followed by a written report with resources and video examples, plus unlimited after-session support by email or phone. Virtual initial consultations run over Zoom at a discount. Group classes, on-demand webinars and online courses round out the offer.
