Ryan is phenomenal. He’s very knowledgeable in dog training and behavior modification. I have taken all three of my dogs to him and been very pleased with all the results. My first two were reactive to other dogs, especially on the leash and had developed some bad habits that I let go on too long. He worked very hard with them and got them into shape. My most recent addition was rescued from a puppy mill and had no experience with anything a “normal” dog would. She was scared of everything modern, had no manners or skills. She was starting to guard food and water from my other older dog and I knew I had to get in touch with Ryan right away. I didn’t want to give her the chance to develop bad habits. Ryan worked his magic again and Chloe has come home no longer afraid of the tv, with manners and happily let my old man eat. I recommend Ryan and Rhino K9 to everyone.

Ryan did such a wonderful job with our puppy, Shamrock! Shamrock is a German Shepherd and Golden Retriever mix with a lot of energy, and Ryan was amazing at helping him channel that. He worked with us on crate training at night, walking without pulling, and general obedience. We really appreciated Ryan’s advice, patience, and expertise — he made such a difference for both Shamrock and us.

Can't say enough about Rhino K9 kennels & Ryan Thurston. We adopted our girl from our local shelter @ 6 mos old. Full of energy and determined to be the leader of our pack! As seniors concerned for mobility & safety, (and who travel), training was essential to reign in her exuberance & distractability. 5 short weeks later we couldn't be more pleased. She is a dream! I cannot recommend Ryan and his training enough. He is knowledgeable and well versed in "dog language." Ryan is able to explain a dog's thought process to the point its relatable for us "humans." Our family took the two week "board and train" route. Prior to her stay, Ms Diva Skylar, would refuse a leash, bite, and attempt to dominate us. Ryan leash trained her within minutes. Skylar also had severe puppy biting that has been reversed. Passive aggressive domination is out the window, now that we've been educated thanks to Ryan. I 10/10 recommend Rhino Kennels for your puppy/dog training needs.

We took our two GSD to Ryan for the two week board and train. It has been a total game changer for us. Both of our boys completed the Advanced Obedience Training which included leash training, off leash training, treadmill training, and distraction training. We were given all the tools needed to continue and succeed in their training at home. The training they received has been priceless for our family!
