About Risen Star Kennel

What they offer

Risen Star Kennel (RSK) is a family- and veteran-owned pet care and training facility on Airpark Drive in Bullhead City that serves the tri-state area around Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, Kingman, Laughlin and Needles. Its K9 behavior and training team offers obedience and manners from puppy basics to advanced off-leash control, group or private classes, board and train programs that involve both dog and owner, behavior consultations for aggression, severe anxiety and compulsive behaviors, protection dog training, scent work, and service and therapy dog programs. Training can take place at the one-acre facility, which has a climate-controlled indoor training area, or in your home.

How they train

The site says the team uses an ethological approach, observing patterns of behavior and addressing issues such as aggression or fear in context, and that it works with reactive, fearful, defensive and aggressive dogs, including dogs that have bitten.

Good to know

The facility also offers boarding, day care and grooming, discounts for veterans, first responders and seniors, and tours before booking.
