About Rock Solid Dog Training, LLC

What they offer

Rock Solid Dog Training, LLC trains dogs and their owners in the greater Bismarck-Mandan area. The owner, Preston VanLoon, is a Certified Dog Trainer, an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator and a therapy dog evaluator, and the business is based in Mandan.

Services

Private training is customized from a training goals questionnaire the owner fills in before the first session, and it can include in-home and community-based training. Group classes include AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, basic and advanced obedience, the AKC Canine Good Citizen class and test, dog walking, hand signals, trick dog and a refresher class. The basic obedience course covers canine communication, motivation, sit, down, stay, coming when called, loose-leash walking, leave it, drop it, jumping, barking and socialization.

Behavior problems

The business also helps with jumping on people, pulling on the leash, unwanted barking, chewing and biting, housebreaking, behavior modification and reactivity toward leashes, people and dogs, and it trains therapy dogs.

Method

The business describes itself as a positive dog trainer and says owners need to practice at home between sessions for training to work.
