About Royal K9
What they offer
Royal K9 in Fife works with any breed, any size and any problem. During a board and train, the dog stays in the trainer's home and is trained throughout every day; all board and trains include basic obedience such as sit, down and place, and can add off-leash training. Private lessons suit new owners who want to be involved and can cover on- and off-leash obedience, recall, psychiatric service dog training and behavior modification. The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program is a six-week course for pups seven months and younger covering potty and crate training, leash training, socialization and confidence. Owners can ask for help with aggression or reactivity toward people or dogs, anxiety, crate training and potty training, and evaluations and phone consultations are the first step.
How they train
The site describes plans built around each dog's motivation, clear verbal markers and cues, and a pressure-and-release system, with tools chosen per dog.
About the trainer
The trainer grew up around dog breeding and shows and competes in the bite sport PSA with her own dog, who also serves as a neutral demo dog for reactive dogs.
