Shore Dogs Canine Training is run by Abby, who started working with animals at a humane society in 2012 and began training dogs in 2015. The business focuses on obedience, manners and a better relationship between dogs, owners and the community.

Programs

The puppy fundamentals program is split in two: two weeks of hands-on training in the trainer's home for puppies around four months old, covering obedience, potty training, leash handling, socialization, crate training and handling, then two more weeks at the facility once the puppy is at least six months old. Board and train programs of two, four and eight weeks are offered for dogs six months and older, teaching a solid heel, place, recall, sit and down, reinforced with an e-collar that is introduced only after the dog has learned each command.
