About Sit Happens Dog Training & Behavior, LLC

What they do

Sit Happens Dog Training & Behavior runs a graded class ladder rather than a single obedience course: Puppy Kindergarten for 10-16 week olds, an Adolescent Puppy class for 4-6 months, a Foundation Clicker Class, the Canine Life and Social Skills (C.L.A.S.S.) program, and an Advanced Clicker Course. Private instruction, board-and-train and online courses are offered alongside the group work.

Method

The business states it teaches using "dog and human friendly methods (no shock collars here)", and its own page lists what that training is used for: preparing a dog for life with a baby, helping children and dogs get along, working through aggression and fear issues, and preparing dogs for sports such as agility or herding. A separate scent-work offering, Scent Happens, is described as field games for tracking and detection rather than AKC nosework.

Where they work

Group classes are held at Pet Supplies Plus in Athens, with private lessons throughout Northeast Georgia and online support beyond it. An online puppy-raising program, 90 Days to the Perfect Puppy, is bundled for puppy clients who cannot attend in person.
