About Smart Paws Dog Training

What they offer

Smart Paws Dog Training is a Silver Lake business whose methods are based on punishment-free, positive rewards only. It focuses on obedience training and on treating behavioral issues, and the site says its owner has more than 20 years of experience.

Training options

– **Group classes:** held at a church near Griffith Park in Atwater Village on Sunday and Tuesday evenings, running five weeks and covering sit, stay, down stay, come, heel, find it, leave it, go to your spot and release.

– **In-home training:** a single long visit to address a behavior problem, or four-visit and eight-visit programs in which the owner works with the dog on the same cues and individual behavior problems.

– **Training walks:** for dogs that have completed a course, a trainer walks the dog and reinforces the training in new settings.

Good to know

In-home visits serve Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, East Los Angeles, Downtown and nearby, with extra fees beyond 10 miles. The site asks callers not to text.
