About Smiley’s Dogs

Certified trainer in Bend

Smiley's Dogs is the training practice of Lisa Smiley, a certified dog trainer in Bend. Lisa is a graduate of the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training in-person track (VSA-CDT) and a Certified Family Dog Mediator, and she describes using up-to-date, science-based methods of compassionate dog training. Her philosophy focuses on teaching guardians how to meet both their own needs and their dog's needs.

Background

Lisa grew up with Salukis and has shared her life with Labradors, a Golden Retriever and now a Whippet over the past 32+ years. She has fostered Labradors for a dog rescue, raised a puppy for a service dog organization and volunteers at the local shelter. She began her journey to certification in 2023.

Services

Support for newly adopted dogs helps manage the new environment, with training after an adjustment period. Virtual training lets shy or anxious dogs work at home with the whole family involved. Puppy packages cover socialization, house training, cooperative care and foundational life skills. A free initial consultation is offered.
