About Smokin’ Feathers Kennel and Retrievers

What they offer

Smokin' Feathers Kennel and Retrievers describes itself on its home page as a family-owned dog training, breeding and boarding business in Grant, serving North Alabama. Its training programs are an advanced retriever program aimed at dogs working in competitive fields or outdoor activities, a puppy primer covering socialization, basic obedience and the bond with the owner, an obedience program taught step by step, and deer tracking, which the site describes as a growing hobby of helping hunters locate game.

The facility

The home page says the kennel sits on thousands of acres of training ground with multiple ponds built for dog training, and it also offers boarding and a breeding program.

Good to know

The site offers free, same-day consultations. Its experience claims do not line up: the home page speaks of over a decade of experience, while the About page lists the business as established in 2024, so ask how long the training program itself has been running.
