About Cruisin’ Canines

Classes

Cruisin' Canines is a dog obedience training facility at 784 Baldwin Drive in Arab. Its classes run in levels: Companion Classes (Level 1) cover the skills of a pleasant companion at home, Community Classes (Level 2) take obedience out to stores, ballparks and campsites, and Off-Lead Classes (Level 3) teach handlers to get responses off lead at home or away. A Trick and Therapy Class follows Level 2 for handlers working toward therapy certification, and hour-long private lessons give one-on-one help with problems or goals.

Background

The site says Cruisin' Canines was established in 2022 after Katie Cruise trained and mentored under Kitty and Jim Thompson of South Paw Obedience Training, who passed the torch to her when they chose to focus on competitive training. Katie has competed in AKC rally and obedience, including a placing at the AKC Rally National Championships.
