About Southpaw Dog Training LLC

Science-backed training for Acadia Parish

Southpaw Dog Training serves the local community and surrounding areas of Acadia Parish with training for puppies and adult dogs. It describes its methods as science backed and aimed at a happy, healthy relationship between dog and owner, and believes training saves dogs' lives, since lack of training is one of the biggest reasons dogs are surrendered to shelters. Its trainer, Hana, is named in client reviews for teaching positive reinforcement.

Programs

Private training takes place in the home or at a public location, for all breeds and ages, and covers manners, behavior and more advanced skills. Board and train is a two- or four-week boarding program for dogs from 10 weeks old, aimed at structure, confidence and calm. Flexible training is designed for busy owners with dogs between 10 weeks and one year. Virtual training runs as a one-time Zoom session or a four-week program.

What owners say

One client wrote that after classes with Hana "things started to look up" with an Australian Shepherd she had once considered rehoming.
