About spcaLA Patricia Gorham Training Center

What they offer

The Patricia Gorham Training Center in Burbank is one of the training locations of spcaLA, a Los Angeles animal welfare organization. It runs group classes in obedience, Fun Nose Work, agility and specialty topics such as coming when called and dogs that pull on the leash.

Classes

Beginning classes such as Puppy Preschool and Magical Manners need no prior training, while other classes have prerequisites listed on each class page. The group classes are not designed to address aggression toward people or other dogs.

Approach

The trainers use positive reinforcement and say a dog should never be choked or hurt in training. Registration is online, and adopters of spcaLA dogs can receive a class discount.
