About Star Dog Obedience

Training in West Palm Beach

Star Dog Obedience is a dog training team serving West Palm Beach and Loxahatchee, "Dedicated Professionals Since 2006!" The team trains any breed, age, size and temperament, with programs for puppies, obedience, off-leash reliability, behavior modification, service dogs and sport dogs. Training uses motivators dogs already love, like treats, toys and praise, and the team rejects dominance theory as an explanation for misbehavior. Free evaluations at the facility are required before most programs.

Programs and prices

Private programs are named after stars: Protostar ($695) covers basics like jumping, door dashing and loose leash walking; Polaris ($1295) adds all obedience commands and common behavior issues; Sirius ($2195) covers unlimited commands with bigger distractions, off-leash reliability, equipment, lifetime phone support and unlimited Levels. Levels ($550) is the group class program, building toward the AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluations. Sport work includes scent work, competition obedience and Rally.
