About Star Dog

Star Dog is a training and day-camp facility on NC Music Factory Boulevard in Charlotte, with 10,000 sq ft indoors floored in rubber for training and 16,000 sq ft of artificial turf for play.

Programs

The published list is an evaluation and facility tour, a Puppy Education Program, Star Dog Bootcamp training, an exercise day camp and animal chiropractic. Saturday morning classes run from 9 to 11. One-to-one adult dog training is offered alongside the classes, and the site notes that every new dog is evaluated by a trainer and may need to complete a training course before joining day camp – training is the gate to the play side rather than an add-on to it. A therapy dog strand, Paws For All, is published as its own program.

What it emphasizes

The site's own framing is that vigorous exercise, socialization and leash training matter together, and that dogs come to train with trainers and socialize with other dogs in a supervised environment.
